OFFICIAL LEADER AND A REAL LEADER {2 SAMUEL 5: 1-3}

As Christians, we need to pay increasing attention to leadership today because God’s focus is to prepare Christians for positions of authority. This month, we will be looking at the subject of leadership- a major equipment for the end-time operations of believers.

However, I want you to understand first of all that there is a difference between the title of leadership and the life of leadership. As you begin to walk through life, you will find some people whose goal and agitation is to get a title that confers leadership on them. Your own drive should be to acquire the life of a leader. You cannot overlook a life that is speaking; the leadership life speaks for itself. It’s like when you have good wood, you don’t need to polish it, it speaks for itself and that should be your goal as you begin to pursue life.

Many commit a tragic error of judgment in life; they pursue a leader’s title instead of the leader’s life. The leadership title is simply the reward fora leadership life; it is the cap on the leader’s life. If you develop the leader’s life, you will earn the leader’s title.

REAL LEADERS are recognized and identified by their lives and not by their titles. Too many human beings bear titles that make mockery of the word “leader”. Many carry titles that their lives deny or even conflict with. A real leader first acquires the life of a leader and the title becomes inevitable. THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OFFICIAL LEADER AND THE REAL LEADER EVERYWHERE.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to pursue the additions that add the true force of leadership in Jesus’ name. Amen!
