The two greatest powers in the universe today are the will of God and the will of man. The men that have excelled in the program of God have always been those that yielded and aligned their will to the will of God from Moses, Elisha, Apostle Paul to our Lord Jesus Christ. The will of God is strongest force in the universe, and the wisest believers don’t fight it or confront it.

The next strongest force on this planet is the will of man. Men have used their will to achieve different things on the earth but Christians must be careful that they are not exercising their will against the will of God at any point in time. Whenever you say “I will not” and it concerns God, you come into the blindness of self will.

Thomas disregarded the experience of other apostles and said “I will not believe, regardless of what they saw” until Jesus came and said Thomas touch my side, touch my palms and don’t be unbelieving. People that are self-willed will always be blind to the help that God is sending their way and they usually suffer lots of avoidable problems because they want to do their own thing.

In fact, some years ago, God gave me the understanding that self-willed people are actually worshiping another God “Olorun Inu” (translated “god of my will”). Don’t join the teeming population that exalt their will above the will of God because only the man that does the will of God will abide forever.

Avoid the blindness of self-will and make room for the fact that God is bigger than you, your plans and calculations. If God is leading you in a particular direction, it will always end up in glory. If you yield to the Lord, you can never come up short. He knows where HE has reserved your blessings and your greatness. Let Him have His way and don’t struggle with Him because you were created for His pleasure.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the god of my will. Deliver me from the blindness of self will, renew a right spirit in me that yields to your will in Jesus name, amen.
