17 February 2023: REWARD OF INTERCESSION – Matthew 6:33; Ephesians 3:20

Every Christian needs to understand that intercession is a key tool of the Kingdom of God. When you stand in the gap for the course of the Kingdom, when you begin to pray in the Spirit and birth forth those things that are uppermost in the Father’s heart, your personal needs are a done deal. God will supply your personal needs, not at your level, but at His level.

There is a way you can ask for certain things for yourself based on your human limitations in understanding and experience.

For example, you want a car for easier mobility to work and you begin to pray for a car. However, when you give yourself to the course of God on the earth, God says, “I will not just give you a car but will make you an answer and solution to the transportation problem of your country”, and cars will become one of the many transportation tools at your disposal.

God will do for you, what you cannot do for yourself. What God will do for you will always be better than what you can do for yourself (Eph. 3:20). This is the portion of the intercessor. This happens because the time they should have used to pray for themselves is spent praying for other people. Thus, God takes their burden over. That is who you should strive to become.

PRAYER: Lord, I commit myself to the work of intercession. I withdraw from selfishness and birth forth Your will on the earth in Jesus’ name. Amen!
