No one gets lifted or promoted without passing a test; it is a law of the justice of God. When it is time for you to go to another level in God, any new level of increase – financial, marital, spiritual and so on, it will be preceded by tests. God allows tests to come our way because it is promotion time! God allowed a test because it was time to move to the next level.
Do you know that someone may make a mistake that becomes a test for you? God knew that mistake was going to be made. If God didn’t want you to take that test, He would have stopped it and aborted it. So don’t say, “They did this to me, they did that to me.” God knew it was going to be done. But will you pass your own test?
Eliab became unqualified for what God had prepared for him. God’s plan was for any of Jesse’s sons and Eliab was the firstborn, but God said, “I have refused him.” He had been presented and rejected. When did Eliab meet God? In his father’s house, in Jesse’s instructions, in the daily demands from the various levels of leadership he had been passing through. But he didn’t know he was going through a test at those times. Can you recognise God’s tests when they come through difficult demands from leadership, the pastor’s rebuke, physical duties, simple instructions and so on? May you recognize and pass His tests.
PRAYER: I will not become disqualified for what God has prepared for me. Amen.
